Heard Museum

Chloe had a blast visiting the Heard Museam, I had never been either, and I thought it was pretty cool. It was a day of cheap fun. Chloe's favorite part was probably the snakes, sooo gross. She loves bugs of any kind. Her new word this weekend besides "poot" was "grasshopper" pronounced "hoppa", she chased that poor thing all over the backyard.
After looking at all the animals, we took the the BlueStem trail through the woods, but veered off on a gravel road that took us to the lake. Chad threatened to leave my jogging stroller in the forest, the trails are stair step for the entire 1.84 miles. He said we could just go get another on on the way home, but I made him push it back while I carried Chloe. We were give out by the time we got back at 10:30, Chloe fell asleep on the way home. After he woke up from her nap we waited for Chad to get home from work and we sat in the backyard for a good 2 hours enjoying the nice weather and having good conversation while Chloe swam in her pool. She ended up going to bed at 6:30 that night. I was going to clean the house but Chad insisted we watch a movie instead, he even turned the Cowboy game off! We decided on SlumDog Millionaire, everyone said it was a great movie, but Chad and I didn't like it very much, I could barely understand them through their heavy accent. All in all it was a great weekend!

lft to rght: Carly, Ashley,Wendy, Christy, Teagan
This is where I gather my sanity back ...The Farm. So peaceful and quiet and just puts me in the best mood. Our wedding was here too, so it's a special place for us :) Im going to throw in a few wedding pics, just for good times sake! Our wedding also was published in a book "Spectacular Weddings of Texas" it just came out less than a year ago, and can be purchased at any major book stores. Basically it gives my story on how Chad and I met and fell in love....AWE. Im pretty sure they loved the pictures with the cows in them, gives it a real Texas feel :) YEEHAW!

lft to rgt: me, Jessica, Sarah,Judy,Jeni,Paige,Lanee,Emily,Jen, Missy
All the girls got out to celebrate Jeni Pogue’s 28th birthday. We all had so much fun telling stories and laughing. I really hope the other tables did not hear our conversations, they were hilarious! Jeni you are sweet as sweet can be, and Ben is one of the luckiest men on earth to be married to you. I’m so glad we have been able to be on the journey of mommyhood together…what a ride! Hope your 28th year is the best one yet!

We found a home!!!

Below pic is Emmalee Welborn being dedicated she was adopted by my cousins a couple months ago :)
Church home that is. We have been on the look for a awhile for something that has our beliefs and makes us feel comfortable, little did we know that we would find it in the little town of Merit, Texas! Higher Trails Cowboy Church is such an amazing place with some of the friendliest people I have ever met. It’s a “come as you are” church, very relaxed and the the preacher Randy Bird is on fire for God. His messages make you feel like he is talking straight to you. The band is amazing it’s the best country Christian/gospel/hymnal music ever. Seriously. The church is full of so many activities and I know Chloe will love growing up there. The church started out under a tent with 7 people and has grown to about 800. Services are now held in a building that was built but is still being worked on by the congregation to finish it on Monday and Tuesday nights…Chad is going to make his way out there to paint cabinets this week, hopefully. Chloe loves the nursery but this past week I helped in it, since she didn’t want me to leave her. So I will be in the nursery until she feels more comfortable. This past week were baptisms and dedications, you could just feel the holy spirit in the house. The baptisms took place in a horse troff, that’s right, a horse troff (I’m not even sure how to spell troff). I’m pretty sure if there would have been a river behind the church, it would have been done Jesus style, in the river !! I can honestly say Chad and I look forward to our Sundays going to church.
